Everyone and welcome to songs gonewrong where we, along with you, the fans, decide if these hit songs gotright or did those songs go wrong? I'm one of a host sackman and joining me,as always, is the summer time fabulous batons back. How are you doing buddy pa is that is that, your summer time, yoursatin, i tried something different. It didn't work, but but whatever dude atsummer time- and all i got to do now- is what a weed and just love my flowers, that's it baby, that's all i got to do. I cut grass and donson grass, buteverything is in everything is growing and we're having a good time yeah. Now,that's good yeah, i'm a i'm a big fan of summer time, and that's we're goingto be talking about on this episode. So i mentioned, i don't know a couple:episodes a go that we're going to not necessarily change things up andmaybe add a couple different options to our show. You've heard the last coupleepisodes where we've talked with kevin martin from candle box and dave scotneyfrom genis, which were also interviews. So, thanks to both kevin and dave realnice guys, i love their music and it's always good too, when you, when youinterview somebody and your you talk to somebody that you're a fan of right, that you've never met and then, when you meet them, they actually are decenthuman in beings, because i feel like sometimes it could go south and andyou're like because, like what like, like a candle box actually and jan, isto like what happens if, like either one of those guys was like a dick, youknow like didn, then do i not like candle box anymore. That was weird, ithink, yeah you don't like candebec anymore yeah. I feel like that's whathappened, but luckily i love campbell and then kevin was nice, so i cancontinue to like them and same with ganis i like their music before davidwas nice. Their music now is still good, so that makes it great i loved it thatwhen i said something that was in correct, they didn't like, say: okay, you fucked up they're like no you're wrong, but yeah yeah. They were super easy to talkto. I mean the fit the fact that came on our show shows probably how easygoing they are. So thanks to kevin and day for jumping on and an no otherthings that we mentioned was we're going to do some more of these playlist.Maybe once i don't know, maybe once a month, maybe once every couple weeks, because we both like our playlists and we are we're in summertime it'sofficially summer and what we decided to do was put togethera summer song playlist. It's kind o like talk about a couple songs andwe'll make the playlist available to everybody, but before we dig in real quick guys, ifyou haven't done so already to make sure he hit subscribed to make sure youget all of our episodes and they come out which we're trying to do once aweek. If we can do more we're going to do that. But right now i feel like oncea week is probably a good sweet spot for us to be in and if you could leaveus a five start review on itunes. That would be so. That would be so awesomeand you can follow us on twitter and instagram at songs gone fall. Was therewe're doing some giveaways too, were probably over well by time. Thisepisode airs. We would have found a winner for the lip biscuits, significant other cd and helmets. Meantime, those albums just came out injune. The helmet was what june of ninety two and lum biscuit was june ofninety nine. So we put a little note on twitter. So if you guys aren'tfollowing us on there follow us on twitters of that way. When we do likegive aways like that, you will be in the loop. So then that way, if you canfollow us, will put some notes, ought then, if we choose you, then you willget a free cd or some other goodies. So that's where you can follow us at songs.Gone drop us an email, sw podcast at gmail visit our website, songs gonewrong com and we also have our own songs going wrong playlist on spotify, which covers the songs that we talk about. But this one will wind upsharing on social media and we'll have a link to it in our show notes as well. Now i think i grow true, but i just want to interrupt real quick go aheadsummer to me was going to a monster truck, show rally sunday uday sunday can i can i do it for you. Please doall her. We got all right, so i e an gran digger, that's adults, teas to a that's a...

...i got is good. I always love the sundaysunday sunday, sunday, sunday yeah, that was that was always a favorite ofmine, but it was like you're going to the stinger all jazzed up and they're.Like big of a disappointment, i never went.I never went to what it is. I used to watch them. I remember like monster.Trucks were big and like that i want to say late es early s like i had my gravedigger truck and my big hort, and i think i figure o something was likeequalizer. So there was like a handful of these. I like little mansart on itwas pretty awesome and i'd watch it on tv like espn you get home from school, would have some of that shit on yeah, but it gets to a point. Just gets getsdull, real, quick, it's like it's a big truck driving in a circle. Over far thenovelty wears off real qu yeah yeah, and you also probably go deaf in theprocess but yeah summertime man. I so we puttogether a list of songs, we're going to talk about and, like i said, we'llshare our lists with you guys, but some of these songs are pretty much just appropriate for summer, like it might have summer in the title name or maybe the song itself is aboutsummer, but also there's a couple songs on here that remind both back and iabout summer. You know what, whether it's recent or we were kids just in thesummer time. So that's what we're talking about and that's pretty muchwhat we got so anything anything you want to add back. Are you ready to jumpright here? Let's, let's get the countdown going man all right, so thefirst song we have- and i feel like this- is probably the best place tostart off summer time by dj, jazz, jeff and the fresh prince. I mean that songright there i mean, when i think about summer, like the first day of summer, ihave to blast that song and usually once once or so like once a week or soat least i have to listen to this song in the summer time i mean it's justreally paints a good picture of summer time, at least for you know, growing upin the philly area. Our neighborhood is a little bit different, but like for us,like you, know like our song, would have been basically about like us,going down to the park, shooting some hoops and probably playing baseball orstreet hockey or basis. I feel like it was like just like playing sports likea non stop, but i feel like summer time by dj jazz jevan a freshman has to beon a summer playlist it just as paints a great picture of what summer time isnow. It's just a fun song man at the end yea day dj. Oh my god, did ja jazzactually met him in an airport and then he kind of shunned me a little bit speaking out of speaking of don't meetyour idols ho. I know, but i went up to him and he s i g getaway from me. I'm like dude you're, not that big i mean whatever you're, notthe fresh prince you're, not the fresh prince. Definitely, no, i think it's like really. I recognized irecognize anybody, though i got that the egaeon brown, that's what i got ishould have been working for the cia. I can spot a wrapper a mile away to be honest with you. I did not likethe song. What really i just, i think i was in the cool zone at the time whenthe song came on. It was just like a little corn into me all right. No,maybe just summer wasn't i didn't. I didn't go to the camps. The summer waskind of a little boring for me to be honest with you, i love the summer time,at least when i was a kid now o now as an adult. It's like you have to watchyour kids and still work your day job. So it's like you in the summers likeyou now have extra work so, but i mean i don't know i feel like it's. I feel istill love the summer time, though man n, i did. I was a kid that got perfectattendance in school. I wanted to be in school. I had so much fun. I gotperfect attendance because my parents wouldn't let me skip. I had no, i hadto say in the matter, and i look where look where my prickedattendants got me. So, okay, thanks a lot mom and dad i had i had to like basically like beinon my death bed. You know in order for me to not to not go to school. I feellike if i was a kid now and you know, with covin stuff, my parents would belike let's go ahead, go on in i'm like the mom. I can't schools close she'slike go to school, i'm like oh to school. I can't i literally cannot goto school. It is virtual. Yeah right still probably send me in, but inunderstandable, that's fine, so the next one i have a my list and then i'll.Let you mention a couple, but this one here,it's not necessarily a summer song, but it reminds me of summer time andthat one is yellow lead better by pro gym and whenever i hear this song there's a very specific day that ithink about it makes me very happy and one of the things that we do with thisshow is we always like drill down the lyrics and try to figure out what thisperson was saying or what was the meaning of this song? This is, i think, the only song i have never looked up...

...the lyrics to, because i don't want toknow, and it might be about nothing. I have no idea. I honestly don't want toknow so when i hear eddie vetter, i'm like there's, maybe a couple words ican make out throughout the song, and i want her a little here, a verse fromyou that that's totally made up. No, i know i don't want to ruin the song inany way and me sing and it would definitely ruin it. I like to leave itas it is, but when i, when i hear this song, i am taken back to eighth grade, so wasone thousand nine hundred and ninety four and we had some like picnic atschool. We went to some park in like central new jersey and it was basicallyjust kind of like a fun day with our class. So basically we played like speaking of playing sports all day. Ithink we played like softball that we played volleyball and then we wrappedit was like a hundred degrees that day it was so hot, and then we wrapped upby playing street hockey- and i was the goalie so here i am playing streethockey and like s like upper, it was like upper s on black top, not thesmart city. I'm i'm surprised. I didn't have like a heath. If i did that now iprobably die, but back then i was like fourteen i'm like i got this and thenafter that i had a baseball game like for baber, my babe ruth league i wasplaying in, and my sister drove me to the game and in the car right were likewaiting in the parking lot, for we got there a little bit early sort ofsitting there listening music and yellow lead better came on, and i likeimmediately get taken back to that day of just you know, sitting in the car waiting toplay some baseball after already playing like fifteen sports. At thisevent, we were at for school, and life was good man. You know life isgood now, but i feel like that was like a different good and it was so much funand whenever hear yell led better, i immediately am fourteen all over againand it is glorious. I feel bad that my story is not as good o. Well, it's very goodwith this song, but basically i was working at scido country club and whathappened was that that place burnt down their clubhouse and they had it. They didn't have a clubhouse, so they used all they gotold, guys used to play poker in the locker room. Okay, some fourteen! It's like my firstjob, i'm i collect balls. You know, like i wash clubs, i guess up the carts. It's kind of my job, this, my f you're collecting balls in the locker room.Yes kind, o watch them with bleach and itwas forget about so i'm watching, i'm washing the balls in bleach. Okay, lookup and they had this full stack bar and i'm like. I know my father dragonon it. So i was trying to find a bile that they didn't think that was so. Igot zambuk okay and i started taking a little couple swings of it. So that'sthat's a tough one to start off with yeah and then then, i'm like i'mgetting buzz e driving. He golf car all over to tricking. It was like wiarton's,not many golfers around i'm having a blast, i'm like im in a movie. This isweird. My eyes are terly love story, sure i'm wasted by the timemy father gets me okay and i'm and i got in trouble whateverthere's more than the story, but i remember waking up the next day and ihad my whathever. They call cassette playerswith with the radio o that and that's a solid walkman. That's a sad walk manand basically listening to this song. Picking up balls- and i remember thatcower in the calway was al and i was like i always remember that freakingmoment, like being hung over picking up a ball and just like an hearing thatthinking song ballad. That's all i m going to say about that. All right. Idon't even remember. I think the first time i had ondrian like sixteen, but the firsttime i even got buzzed i was like twenty one i was. I was a late bloomerman i made up for it, though my twenties, that's for damn sure yea butyeah. I don't think any more man. That's funny. I mean what a what are acouple that you have there on your list. Man feels from freaking was that calvinharris and for for well that song man, you know, i'm a dancer. You know i loveto. I have i do winkle. You know i have twinkle toes man, your monti, talented, that is the song that i freaking rock to and i can freaking move to, and thatis summer all over and that's all over my body right. Okay. So how? How awesome is that? So that'sgood! That's good! It's up! It's goin island kind of like base to it, youknow, and then they build up and it just the collaboration with everybody inthat and that song is just like fucking...

...kick ass, oh yeah! No, it's a good teamfor sure what else you got! I'm thinking have you ever heard the song comedancing by the kinks now that you mentioned before. Yes, ido yeah, i know that's got that basically is a song about likethem. This one girl grew up and they, basically they went dancing in this oneparticular spot and they ended up demolishing it like years later andreminiscing about the good old days. You know that's like any kind of townlike they take down like they took down the amc. That was right near my my town, because no one goes to movie there and how many many memories i've had thereand it's just a song about memories, about going dancing and having a goodtime, and- and that is the summer song for me- and it's a good dancing son, fair enough wait. They took the a the mc's like downtown. Like it's gone,it's no, like, i know, m c w s is like not there it closed, but the they likeknock it down. No, no. They didn't knock it down. Okay, something you know, probably storage or something, but that's like all these movie places and-and i think that the drive through should make the the come back. You knowwith everything, that's i hope so i would love that i would there's onelooks like an hour from me, but i might try to check some movies out there thatbe fun. We also have a projector and like a big like screen that we set upin our back yard, so we have like little outdoor movie nights, sometimesat our house, but you know that's a good song and that so that's whatreminds me at least the meaning of it. This is the time toremember by billy, joel okay. I feel like that song. That's what takes meback to like much when it first came out. I remember my uncle driving me around. Hewas, he was such a cool dude and i feel, like the song, came on the radio and ifeel like any time i hadn't i hadn't, listened to that song and forever andmaybe like a year ago, i was just kind of going through some billy jell stuffand i the song came on and as soon as i heardit, i was like holy shit. You know it just really took me back to that time. You know and that's song, he does kind of. I think the second verse he talksabout that to where they were talking about a place that where theywent before, but it's not there anymore. So that's a good soon. All right here, i'mgoing to put you on the spot gun to your head. Okay, your favorite billydill song. I like allentown, really yeah yeah, i'm scenes fromitalian restaurant. That's a good one! He's got he's got a lot. You know. Ialso like i'm sorry. If i put a gun to your head, no yeah. Well, please pleasedon't at least virtually a river was a river of dreams. I like that song. It'sprobably not his best, but that's another. That's another song. That kindof reminds me of summer time, and it just always put the smile in my face. It's not, i don't think it's his best song, but it's my one of my personalfavorites but yeah. I would say either that or allanton. I love downtown. It'sgood too. Nice all right shine by collective soul, couple reasons. One summer time lot ofsun a lot of shine, but also i mean this song reminds me ofyou know, being i forget how well those as this came out, like maybe twelvethirteen or so when this song came out, collect the sole highly underrated band.We talked about them back in december. I think we talked about the songdecember great great bands, verery underrated, i feel like they were allover the s and i still feel like they just don't get enough credit becausethey are very good. Maybe we'll get them on the show who knows, but you, like shine by collective soul. I love that song who i'm going to let the life shine down so there another band. I feel like thatsong has some religious like undertones to it a bit. You knowand i feel like they were like. Oh it's not about religion, i'm like is it ikind of. I think it is like a lot of your stuff. I think it is yeah and iwhat from the lyrics yeah what makes me think this song isreligious yeah right. So if you look it's first of all the course is wellheaven let your light shine down. I mean that that's kind of religious, abit if you're talking about heaven, but then he says, give me a word. Give me asign. Show me where to look. Tell me whatwill i find so i feel like that's like he's. It's almost like he's looking forguidance from perhaps a higher power such as god and or maybe jesus mabeuseer jesus. He wants to pray to. That's totally fine, you know, and then hesays, loves in the water loves in the air. Show me where to look. Tell me we'lllove be there. So you know one of the...

...things they'd read about in the bibles. That loves of or god is, love right, he's looking for love, so i feel likethere's a lot of religious tones here and i think it's a religious ish song, which is which is fine. I'm not you know, i'm not saying is you know thatwas a huge hit and it was massive it, but yeah, i'm not saying it like, hasto be a religious song to be good or it doesn't have to be a religious songs tobe good. I'm just saying call what it is and i think it is and they're likethat's whose people don't want that stigma like creed. They don't want tobe like we're. Not a christian band, really creed, your band name is creed. Come on now a collective soul, right, soul, collective souls souls as a collective, the energy of the universe.That's. How is that not like a spiritual type thing come on guysanyway, i like them, i'm just i'm just saying they need to just admit it comeout an mit it next long. I have here and now by letters to cleo, i'mactually going to try to get them on the show we shall see, but this is likeone of my favorite. This is a ninety song. This is a straight up,ninety song and that's perfectly fine, because the s are amazing for those ofyou that know bed by now. You will also know that i love the nines, and thissong is when, if i put a list together of like the top ten best ninety songs, this is on that list. It's not number one, but it's definitely in the top tenand just watching the video, also watching babs and butthead talk about, because this song made an appearance on bevon butt and just like listening tobe of some butthead talk about it and listening to bevis like mumble throughthe chorus. It's absolutely hilarious. Hella recommend you guys do like checkthat out. Maybe we'll put a link to that be of some butthead video onyoutube, but this song, it's just a happy song man. It puts you in a goodmood. I like it. You know you know that song. No, it's a good tune. Man i feellike it's very chipper and i feel like it's like a good song driving drivingon the sunday afternoon. Sun shining windows down here in nubere good tune recommend nice. When i think a summer- and i was talking to my wife, she said everybody wants to rule the world. Ithink from just just listening to tears with you and i'm a big tuition, fiercefan and a lot of they've done a bunch of adition of this song and covers justmusically very complex song. Like it, i mean t w. U d, what would you saylike that? I musically it's just beautiful everything about it is is beautiful, the lyrics and the music yeah. This just brings me back to swimming in the pool and just frickingjust like this was always on the radio that this song was like you. You knowwhen they have on the on the all popular stations. They just do a ninesongs. They just replay it every every hour. Oh, this was like one of thosesongs and it was just magical to me. I still love listening. Do it but dude, i rock out that it still holds atest of time like this song still rocks? Oh, no, it's one hundred songs of mylifetime. Oh it's yeah! It's up there, man, it's so good and i feel like it'sactually gotten better with age. You know because like before you like, whenyou were kids, you know probably didn't. He probably knew what a lot of thewords were, but i don't think you maybe knew what they meant when we were kids, but we knew the music and the music was good. It's a catchy song! Now, asadults i mean jeez, i mean the opening line. Welcome to your life. There is noturning back. It's like holy shit like it's when you, when you actually likesit down and think about that line. It's like wow, like i don't even i don't evenhave to be like stoned or buzzed, to even think like that. You know it'sjust like man. That's like it's deep, so it's a good tune, yeah! No, iabsolutely i'm on board with that one. Now what you got so the next couple sodeeper shade of soul by urban dance squad. This song, i remember when thesong came out shadow stevens blast to get on american top forty coming homefrom church in the summer time and the song gets just- has a cool vibe to it.It's like a southern california skateboard summertime feel to it. So whenever i hear this song, i think of summer time, it'salso a really good song, and i like it a lot. So that's what i think of an tohear deeper, shade of soul by urban dance squad lucas with the litolf bylucas. I love the song. I feel like i remember this. I i feel like this songwas charting in the summer time, and i remember so when i was a tani knowabout you, but i don't know why i would do this, but i did it a lot and i wouldcome home from school and i would watch the grind like probably more often thani should have, because i like i, i it...

...would just usually be like dance music, mostly and at the time i was kind of more in a heavier music, but then iwould just like watch people dance with eric niece andi think jitchu might have been on at that time too. But i remember this:song got a lot of airplay then, and the video is pretty cool. I don't know thisis another one of those songs that make me makes me think of summer time. Youknow remember that song. I remember this song real. Well, i remember, do you remember going down to seaside and hearing on the strip? They wouldhave people just competing with their cars. They would go up and down thestrip playing their music yeah. Okay, yeah these like a jeep or someone witha convertible, and they had this big boom box. There forget these four doorswere playing this song. We be able to i'm like what is this. Itotally remember it is, and they had it blasted on their like five thousanddollar freaking speaker system and like the dominican guys, are all looking athim like what the hell is that it's a good song. I don't know if it's thesong, you want to choose to really show like show case your stereo system inyour car. I don't know if i'd go that far yeah. I was like a ri you're not going to getthe ladies with this one guys i mean lucas. This came out like in an ninetyfive, i think, or ninety six. By that point we already had the thirty sixchambers from wotan, if you're going to bless something you're going to you'regoing to blast wotan at at least, but that's funny. I remember one time i wasat csi a couple friends. I was like a sophomore in high school and we're justlike laying on the beach going bookie boarding and whatever there is a storethat was pretty much like directly behind us and they were blasting dirtfrom alis and chains like the entire album, like straight through. I'm likethis is like the best day ever. Nesting listening to dirt hanging out on thebeaches is amazing, but yeah looks little lit off, not the song, not thesong of the show case, your speakers, kids, so the next one, interstate lovesong by stone, temple pilots, another one that makes me think of summer time, but i feel like in the summer time growing up. We do a lot of road trips, never really went on like massive vacations, but we did a lot of roadtrips, which i love road trips and, if you're going on the road trip, you needthe interstate love song on that mix. We made a so what i did in an effort totry and basically when we would drive when we drive somewhere now, my kidsare like i'm going to listen to you like disney, music or basically justdizzy music. Pretty much so i'm like hey how about we make a playlist foreverybody. Everybody gets to pick ten songs and i'll put it in a playlist, and then i just completely shuffle it and then we'll drive down to the beach, and everybody was on board with that. So i was like cool, so you know mydaughters. They pick some of their songs. My wife picked some songs and iwas you know picking some of mind. This is the first song i put on that list.It has to be it has to be on there. You know going on a road trip somewhere. You need the interstate love song by its sole of a plait such a good song. What are your thoughts on that one man, well that song off the album purplelike the memories of that coming home from the beach, because when you had that disman righto you know, just like i mean you're, tired, you're, putting your phones likeyou're, just going to pick it you're, going to pick an album that you couldwant to listen from the beginning to the end right, yep, yep, and that songlike, i would always be passed out and there'slike that, drool coming down from your for the the you know like oh yeah, justlike you're in the sun for four or five hours, you got salt in your veins andyou're. Just like freaking passed out just listening to dude such an easylistening, knock you out song. The best tell you othe best, that's a great song! All right! So ihave this. Song is another one that paints a fun summertime picture, but that one is pinch me by bare naked. Ladies, i absolutelylove this song. I got to see them. They opened for hoodie in twin en was at twothousand and nineteen, and i think it was august of two thousand and nineteen, and i got to see them plays, live all some song. They did a great job playing, get live. It's such a good too, but you know it when he's like talking aboutlike taking a drink right from the hose i mean we did that we were kids right. You know we would drink right from the hose. She probably explains a lot. You know we would do all kinds of stuff.Just like outdoors, take a little after new nap. You know wake up a little bitlater go outside play. Some more like. I feel like this song really does agood job kind of painting what it was like being a kid in the summer time.I'm a fan of this song for sure i feel like i for any summer mix. I definitelyhas to be on there. That's why i i put...

...this one on there. What are yourthoughts on this when you like the song? I always i always love the son, butlet's just get back to like the hose and the talk about like when i was a kid withthe sprinkler right yeah. You know you just ranthrough and you hay now any time a water gets even close to me. I'm like what did i become this pus like reallywell, here's here's what i think what is like! Is there a fo like talk to meyeah, it's here, here's what i think the deal is so i am the same way, but ithink the reason why i became this way is because i usually have my phone inmy pocket and obviously phones cost like hundreds of dollars right. So if iget my web, i get my phone wet. It's not a fun experience, because ihave also had like a lot of pictures on there's, not so much the money i meanit is, but it's also the fact that i have on. I have like twenty literallylike twenty something thousand photos on my phone. You know of like of myfamily, my kids, my wife and everything. So if i lose my phone, i am shit out oflot because i don't back it up that as at least as regular as i should now. Ifeel like. Maybe even if i don't have mind like when my kids spray me like itgot a point where my oldest daughter, like my youngest pray, be in my oldest, was like dad doesn't like when you spray him with the hose marges. Youknow, but i think when i even sometimes like, if i put the phone down i leavethe phone inside. I still feel like in my mind. You know it's like a habit, basically that i i don't want to get wet, because i have my phone i'm. Evenif i don't have my phone on me, so i actually have been making it an actionitem. It's like a a resolution of mine to get better where, if the girls youknow heavy with a water gun or something like that, it's okay or withthe hose, but you get it back up your photos, but i nina i need so for thecloud baby. I got to. Maybe that's why dude? Maybe that's why, as go wrong, brought you by google photos? Oh, i will gladly accept that sponsorshipholy shit but yah, know yeah drinking from thehose. I mean we had again probably explains lot. He had one of those likeclown sprinklers. I don't know if you remember these, but it was like a clownhead and you'd hook the hose up to the baseof the clown head visit to the clown neck and then that clown had a thesprinkler would like shoot out through the top, and he had a hat that would goon his head and basically, you put the hose in and the water would shoot upthrough the head and basically the hat would just like be sitting on top ofthe water. Like the water stream, like like fifteen feet above his head. Hehad that in our back yard. I don't know, i think you guys werelucky. I wanted to mention that we also think get a sprinkler to we would be,but that was kind of our sprinkler, though that clown, because then likethe water would just like shoot up. So if you didn't put the hat on, then youcould just like run through it either way and get blasted with hose water. Also, speaking of like water activities, the water guns for kids now are horseshit, all right. The super soaker we had when we were kids that was legitthose things as we would say, on songs, gone wrong. Our legit hits the waterguns. Now are water guns going wrong? Those things are yes there. It's likethere's lits it's like negative, seven psi coming at you. It's like. I couldspin a lot faster, it sucks, but do you remember- and i think it was made- andi want to find one and buy it, because this water gun was like theepitome of, like my, i think, like two summers in a row, i think it was madeby tiger remember tiger they used to make those hand held lcd games yep. Itwas. It looked like a machine gun like like one thousand his machine gun, andit was like it was also like tie had like tiger stripes on. It was like agreen gun with black tiger stripes and you put the water in like the clip andthen you would put the clip in and that's where the the tube was and thenyou'd. Actually it would actually be. It was a battery power, so you wur justlike push pull the button and then it would just like shoot at you until itran out of war, and, i think, was amazing and had ridiculous range. Thosewater guns were amazing. I don't know where i think my parents- probablytossed it by this point, but yeah this. If i can find one on ebay or somethingbut yeah those water guns, the super soakers man, those things are awesome. It's actually gone through the point where i am. I looked up instructions for how tomake my own water gun out of like pvc pipe nice. So that's probably thissummer's project. For me, man, i i'm going to like put a holethrough like a some kid comes over our house and there they're acting up. Iwas blast the whole right through my pvc water gun. Try explain that to your parents. Youlittle you big up the tar gun better than with that, oh yeah, because yeahyou can make potato guns out of pepito.

Maybe that's what maybe i'll save thatfor next year, all right. What else? What other anyother songs you would have mentioned? You know what it's probably not on yourlist, but a punk vampire weekend. Remember that song! I don't it's arelatively newer song and they played it on a high neckin commercial andthat's why i downloaded it and i'm like the son freaking rocks at at the end ofthe day. I just reminded me like when i go for my walks, and i see guys in a garage like havingfun in the summer i'll crash it. I don't get a fuck or man as going on, so this song waslike it was. It was in a hina commercial and and then they were likejust going around just drinking handmakin and people's garages, andthis reminds i remember putting this on my playlist and just like meetingpeople and going up and crashing into people's garages and getting beers andstuff like that. There you go have one one funny story that there's alwaysthese guys around the park and they always get together and i'm like man,you guys have the life you guys are all together and everything and i crashedher her their little monday night football party and i drank a beer withthem, and they had this like cylinder. That waslike about four feet: high filled with with bottle caps, and i go i guys as a lad like beerbottle caps, beer bottle, caps, okay and i'm the bound. I don't know abouttwenty yards away, and i flung it tom, i'm gonna flicking those things landedright in there. Oh i'm like, and i'm out of here, that's like costanza. You have that youhave like that big exit, yeah and then an like you don't stay after that. Yougo out o know you got to that's it. It's just like see guys. I justfreaking rapt did not like. Let's not do it again, daya, that's your closesyea. I was the closer there. It is a yeahyeah. That's a good one! Yeah i'll have to check that song out. What do youthink about the song by rusted rout? Send me him away? Oh, i love that songgreat song, that song is it's great on multiple levels. It's sogood, so i mean i remember when it came out. Okay, then it got. Then i got alittle bit of air play because i think it's in one of those ice age movies, but mykids also like it. So i'm like this isawesome. So this is one of those songs where, like i can play it and i love itand the girls love it. So it's a win win but yeah. This is this songdefinitely makes me think of summer time and it's good because make yethink of my summer time when i was a kid, and it also makes me think ofsummer time with my girls tope passo. So i think that's about as perfect ashe gets now. Were they a one hit, wonder i don't? I don't think i don't know ifthis song technically hit the top forty? No, i don't think it did well what abunch of hippies brown! I think i would absolutely. I would get along withthese people no problem e e, a wit simian. He, the put the beauty of it,is like. I even think he's like there's, like the one part he's noteven like saying anything he's just like. I think he is even going onrecord and said i just was like making some shit up yeah, so that's picked at seventy two yeah that wasright, so semi away peaked at number. Seventy two on the billboard, hot onehundred in september, one thousand nine hundred and ninety five. So yeah i knewi mean i remember getting. You know plenty of air play. I was actuallysurprised at didn't rank better than that. That's a good fucking song shutsa number. That's a number one song. As far as i'm concerned, fuck the bill ora one hundred a bunch of pricks. It's number one! That's that's a good ton! I like it! So here's here's a random one. I justremember listening to this song like non stop one summer like after the album cameout but more more human than human by white zombi. I just remember playinghockey in my driveway like listening to this song and then that album too, butand then i remember like sitting home like in the summertime on my parentswould be at work and i'll. Usually i had a pretty steady appetite ivewatching like mtv, i feel like i watch as pensera like at least once a day andthen and then like any like in the early afternoon. I go out like hit somehit, some baseballs off the tea. You know, throw the ball against the wallor go play street hockey at the park or do something, but i feel like this wasa song that i remember like playing street hockey and listening to thisstud and also when i was watching mtv this video beyondd quite a bit, and iwould just watch this random video that...

...rubs on me put together, but it's goodtoo, and it really does nothing to do with summer time other than our. It just makes me think about it. That'sall looking at him how stinky you think that guy was oh, the terribly isterribly you think! Oh yeah, i have a feeling like you, like you, think thata stinky he has that look, but then you smell them you're like you're, not thatbad. You probably smells like lavender and he's got dentine in his mouth. Iknow because, like i smell, i smell terrific because is like one of hislike five thousand jean jackets. They probably smell like like just just like flowers right hisvery, very floral sent. I doubt it the nastiest smell. I remember becausei used to play competitive soccer. Is the gulliesfreaking gloves? Oh my god, like death. I remember i had a like my goaling gothurt and i had to play goalie, i'm like we. When did i become golly? You know, and i had to put on his gloves to i hadn't like put my freaking hands inbattery acid, to get the smell brutal. You know what you know what i had. Thatwas not the nicest smell well, my battinggloves for baseball, but i had my because i played goalie lot for forstreet hockey. Oh my my leg, pads because, like i would, i would jynewear shorts because i we play a lot in the summer time and it was the like thei didn't have like fancy ones. They were like. I think it was like my lekand i'm pretty sure he got him maclovia, which that store is the best andbecause i'd be wearing shorts, are playing in a summertime. I'm sweatinglike crazy and like the padding was just like a it was just like a foamlike it wasn't anything fancy. It was just like a foam so like it just likeabsorbed your sweat and it was disgusting and we played a lot and isweat it a lot and those pads stunk like ass. So i can yeah because youdidn't clean them brow. How do you clean that? Just o a thingof fucking foam? How do you have? Do you clean that? I don't think you canyou just can't just you just stink, that's what it is all right. So i havei stay away by alison chains. It wouldn't be a podcast episode with theplaylist of i didn't break up an ounce, a chain song. So here we go. I stayaway. Another song, i remember driving to camp in july and i think the songactually came on the radio was either. This are no excuses, but that wholealbum, i mean jar flies, is my favorite album of all time, and this song justmakes you think of summer time. I remember: i played a lot of computergames. I never had a video game system until i was like maybe nineteen or soeighteen or nineteen, so we play a lot of like ibm games like on ms dos and wewould play like doom. You play cyber dogs, you play what was the other one, duke nukem, thed, and i i feel like this would be one of those songs. I would play a lot too, while i was playing while i was gaming back into day. We it's a good tune. It's a great fucking song. That album is amazing, if you put that if you putjarles together with sap, because sap is what five songs or flies as seven, you put them together. That's i mean that should be the best like full albumof all time. In my opinion, we that's what i would say y like that song. Are you a jar fliesfan, i i am, but not as big as you not many people are. I mean i have thatalbum around here somewhere, actually, i'm trying to find it but to over there, but i love that i m, so here's how much i like that album. So i went to i wentto the prince of record exchange the other last week and i went. I also wenta couple years ago, pre pandemic and whenever and basically this place haslike just a massive wall of cds, like used cds, that you can go through andand buy and whenever i see jara flies or dirt forthat matter, or pretty much any else and chains album, but especially jarflies. I have to buy it because i'm like this, album should not be in a cdstore, even though that cd store that it's in is like amazing. I just can'tlet it sit there on the shelf. I have to buy it and give it a home. So that's that's where i met with with jarflies, but what a year did that come out? Ninety four! Ninety four yeah, ithink i think i think the album itself came out and i want to say january ofninety four. I didn't get it right away. I think i was just getting into a onechance at that time, so i feel, like probably by the summer time is when iwas really fully into alison chainse nice, an anyothers you have. I have maybe...

...three or four more maybe to go throughfor me. I would say the ultimate probably would be sticks. Come sailaway easily musically, it's a beautiful song. Iused to put my daughter to bed to that song and sing it. Okay, and you know it's got so many elements. So many ups and downs in that song, and so many things going on- i mean thesong just fricking, absolutely rocks you know it's a good tune, yeah, yeahand there's. There's no mistake in this isthe summer song for me: okay yeah. So when i think of summer and putting mybaby to bed- and i can get a good night's sleep get two hours later, the two you remember the two hourssleep dude. We still get it sometimes like our youngest she's, just turnedfive. Even she actually slept through the night last night, o god she's stilla mediocre sleeper like we maybe get. If for lucky is like we gettwo nights, maybe three of were very lucky, but i would say like two nightsof like full sleep throughout the week, the other like four or five nights, she's coming in, for whatever reason, but yeah i meanwhen they were she's, you know when they were babies. Yeah you get up everytwo hours sucked, but it was even that it was fun like looking back. I was like the mindsthat i tried to have was that you know what you're exhausted they have coffee. Sojust you know, there's going to be a beginning, there's going to be a middleand there's going to be and- and we i'm at the end of where the baby gets up soyeah. I have a five year old too. So yeah yeah, it's always an adventure. You know oh yeah well, so speaking of songs that we play to try to get ourkids to sleep. Sent me on my way was one of them too.I had had a handful of songs that we would play that we both liked. So thatwas one of them, the proclaimers five hundred miles. That was a nice one andwhat was the other one take on me by? Ah that was another one that they likedand also my one daughter likes dreams by cranberries. So nice, that's athat's a good! That's a good thing! I'm trying to get them into some good music, any others you want to go over. I have a couple left yeah. I hear you allright. So i have. I can't help falling in love the one by you be forty. I think this song was on the soundtrackto sliver and this song got tons of air play. I i just like this version. I don't knowi remember we were doing a road trip down to, i want to say we were goingdown to like baltimore or annapolis, or something like that and i had mymixtape on, and this was on there, so it was plush by st p, so yeah. This isa song that makes me think of some road trips. When i was a kid it'sfunny about that band and like did, they have a really big hit that wasn'tanother hit, because then i was like red red wine. Right was neil diamondyeah yeah i was like these guys are just like covered ban, so were cover band dude. They made a big dude that red red wine song was fucking cute, so that song wasmassive man, so they're paying all these royaltiesto get this these songs up but like i want an e those guys yeah this guysthey had it's a solid business model. I guess right, you know the songs aregonna, be you know the song is going to be good because it's hatred was goodexactly what else escapade by janet jackson. That's a if you listen toescapade by janet jackson and you and you are not in a good mood immediatelyafter i think there's something wrong with you. Maybe go talk to a therapistbecause that song it's like magic. It's like it's like a zoloft in musical form. It's just i don't know. Just automatically puts a small on my face.I could have a shitty day and listen ascade. It's like all right. Things areokay, go ahead! Yeah man! I love. I heard that song and for ever and it'sso great, it's so great i was i was blasted at i went. I went to go pick apizza for dinner and i was like blasting this shit on the right home.Oh my, i don't care, i'm in my forty fuck, you i'll, listen to escapade i'll,do it at the fuck i want. I have lived for ever by oasis. I love this song. This is my hands downmy favorite. A waste his song, i remember playing baseball and i wasgetting into a wasis at that time and i just remember playing baseballlistening to this tune and i have two more but i'll do one and then i'llswitch over to you but summertime by kenny chesney. Obviously it's calledsummer time, but it's a good tune. My wife is a big kenny fan, so whenever wei, whenever we there's like, we don't...

...have a pool at our house, but there's alike a local, like town pool, maybe like ten minutes away and the girls like to listen to kennybefore we go over to the pool. So it's fun it's i i feel we i feel like whenwe go to that pool it just kind of reminds me of like it's very, like sandlot. Ish. You know going on kind of like the local town pool so and we liketo we blast kenny. We got we usually it's like summer time. It's beer inmexico note was it no shoes, no shirt, noproblem. This is other song that we like to listen to rock out with thegirls on the way to the pool. Are you a small talk guy at the pool? I don'tfucking talk to anybody really, nobody. I don't know anybody there, and even ifi i mean i don't know i just don't this one act is one lady she was likehundred s was talking because i had like a shirt on it said duck duck grayduck because it said like duck dug. Goose is just kind of like a goofyshirt. This lady, like talk to me for like ten minutes about how her onedaughter loves, ducks something like thanks, but otherwise no man i'm likei'm, either watching the kids. You know with my wife or if she's, if she iswith them, you know i'm off on this side readingthe book, so i i don't want to. I don't know i feellike i felt as i've gotten older. Like i just hate people, i don't want tofucking talk to any yeah. I'm at that point where my five year old thinksthat my shoulders are bionic and then i can tell o she's such an actress brow. She s, mdaddy, more daddy, more, like daddy's, tired and i throw up and then and now it'sspin and this- and i'm like. Oh, my lord, that's like a that's like a fullworkout like if you google, like shoulder workouts like you know, you dolike the military press, that's what it is and and your kids are probably what, like i don't know like ours are like like forty fifty pounds so like everytime you do that. That's like a solid shoulder press right there and i do ityou no like ten. Fifty time getting ripped, i don't even know it yeah there. You go well, it's multitasking you're having phone the family and it's a goodwork out all right. What happened up? I don'tyeah. I have any more on this list. Oh yeah, good by better than asura thatsong easily for some reason like any time i that song was played way way too muchright, yeah and i think it came out and i think it may, and it was pretty much played allthrough august. So i remember hearing that song all the time, though, thatsummer, i'm just like picking fire getting fireflies gettingthis doing that getting bit by mosquitoes listening to a song- and iwas like- is this good? No, it's bad songs, gone good, yeah t s! That's at a good, it's a goodtune. I feel like to your point yeah. I definitely was overplayed this. Thismakes me think a freshman baseball yeah, as i feel like this song was kindof a big deal around. Then i remember listening to it. I like to i, when iplayed baseball, i feel like baseball players are kind of superstitious in a way. Ithink some hockey players are. I don't know about other sports necessarily, but i i would have to do things in a certain way, which probably explains alot my ocd whatever but like. I would have to like i had to have a routineright like before i left for school. That day we had a game. I'd have tolisten to like either like a song or like certain songs, in a particularorder- and i remember like freshman year good and also, i think, live forever by oasis. They both of them were kind of in that list, and then, if ihad a good game that i would keep it going. If i had a bad game, then i'dhave to change it up and i'm like well clearly the songs. I listened to werethe reason why i went over through it to strike out. So that's why we have tochange. I had nothing to do with the fact that he played like a really goodteam, or maybe i just sucked that day it was the music i listened to. Sothat's. That was my logic, which also explains a lot nice man. Now, that's that's at's, agood toon yeah, the only the only other one i have is- and this is not like asummer song by any means so in this is actually the something that we talkedabout, the other the other episode of kein martin was far behind fromcandlebox. When i hear this song kind of like yellow lead better, iimmediately get taken back to a particular place. My sister's highschool graduation party, so i was in eighth grade at that time and just you know i got so. I got the partyand, like the party wasn't about me, so i was just kind of like hanging out onthe sidelines, but still having fun drinking like a case of sprite, whichis like my parents are probably like. Why is he so hyper over there? It's ago: thirty fucking, sodas, mom and dadthat's why i plus i probably hadd. I...

...don't know how much cake- and god knowswhat else i ate, but yeah man- that's song just takes meback to my sister's graduation party, and i don't know that was that was aphenomenal night. I had a lot of fun and just it was like come on you hookedup with beth or whoever you hooked up with comeon. You can tell you. Cul fill the beans now back damon. I was such a nerd.I'm like. I hope you didn't make the moves. You didn't say. Oh no, i din. Ididn't like any of her friends like at least not like that. Okay yeah, buteven even if i did, i would have been like i'm like such a narrative beenlike. I would know what to do. So. That's, i think, that's i think. That'sall the ones that we have yeah yeah. So what we'll do is we'll put a playlisttogether already have it together and then, when we, when we go live with theepisode, we will put a link to the playlist on spotify,so everybody else wants to listen to it. If you want to add to it, go for knockyourself, fucking silly kids, yeah, like so many memories of the summer time that it doesn't evenhave to be something from like that at that something some er in it. I justgot to be something that memory and i would love to hear everybody's memoriesof different songs out there. Man, it's doesn't have to be something that is soprofound in the head summer time in the lyric so yeah i o i have. I have morehuman than human on there, so i feel like it doesn't have to be summer related atall so cool all right, so play the playlistat your next party yeah. That would be super cool and see what everybody saysyeah, especially when you get to white zombie and people be like what the hellis going on here, but cool all right. Man well back. Thank you, sir.
